How to use glass frit in resin

Glass grit is most often used as a decoration for transparent or colored epoxy resin. For a clean and luxurious result, we recommend working in layers.

Recommended procedure

1. Prepare the mold (clean, dry, ideally degreased).
2. Pour the grit into the mold (you can combine it with stones, pigments, flakes, or metallic powders).
3. Pour in layers – first a thin layer of resin to "lock" the grit, then another layer for depth.
4. Degassing – lightly go over the surface with hot air (carefully, briefly) and let it cure.

Why choose clear aggregate

• It gives the casting depth and structure without changing the resin color.
• It perfectly enhances pearlescent and metallic pigments and color transitions.
• Looks luxurious in clear resin and in the "geode" style.

Practical tips

• For the best effect, use clear resin with good transparency.
• For deeper castings, stick to the rule: better more thin layers than one very thick one.
• If you want to place the aggregate precisely, apply it with tweezers or after the resin has partially thickened.
