Chameleon flakes are designed for saturating epoxy resin (casting resin) with a colour-changing effect. Chameleon flakes provide very intense colours and are used in the manufacture of resin jewellery and resin decorations. A very small amount is sufficient to achieve the effect. The maximum addition to casting resin is 5% of the resin weight, with 1% or less being sufficient to achieve the effect. Another way to use chameleon flakes is to wipe the silicone mould (with a fine brush) and then pour the resin into the mould. When applied by wiping the mould, the consumption of flakes is very low. The colour shift effect is more pronounced on darker backgrounds.
