How to cast without bubbles

1. Preparation: rinse the mould with lukewarm water and mild soap, dry without leaving any fibres.
2. Mixing: Prepare the resin according to the instructions, mix slowly and thoroughly scrape the sides of the cup.
3. Pouring: Pour in a thin stream down the side of the mould; let any bubbles float to the surface.
4. Curing: observe the recommended times and temperature for your epoxy resin.
5. Finishing: after removal, the bottom edge can be gently chamfered with an abrasive and polished if necessary.

Design Tips

• Terrazzo effect: Mix small coloured chips into clear or milky resin.
• Marbling: gently drag two to three colours through with a skewer to create veining.
• Natural look: Try dried leaves, mini flowers or metal flakes – less is more.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: lukewarm water + mild soap; do not use abrasives or sharp tools.
• Solvents: no aggressive cleaners; use isopropanol only exceptionally and wipe quickly.
• Storage: Flat, away from sunlight and without compression – for long mould life.
