How to cast without bubbles

1. Preparation: rinse the mould with lukewarm water and mild soap, and dry without any fibre residue.
2. Mixing: prepare the resin according to the instructions; mix slowly and carefully scrape the walls of the container.
3. Pouring: pour in a thin stream along the side of the mould; for longer casts, feel free to pour in layers.
4. Curing: observe the recommended times and temperature for your epoxy resin.
5. Finishing: after removal, the edges can be gently knocked down and optionally polished for a mirror finish.

Safe use

• Use the cast with glass shot glasses inserted into the holes; epoxy is not intended for direct contact with food.
• Avoid high temperatures and open flames near the cast.
• Clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent; do not immerse in hot water for extended periods.

Design Tips

• Marbling: Gently pull 2–3 colours through with a skewer to create fine veins.
• Terrazzo effect: mix small coloured chips into clear or milky resin.
• Natural look: thin wooden plates, dried leaves or metal flakes – less is more.

Mould maintenance

• Cleaning: lukewarm water + mild soap; do not use abrasives or sharp tools.
• Solvents: no aggressive cleaners; use isopropanol only exceptionally and wipe quickly.
• Storage: Flat, away from sunlight and without compression – for long mould life.
