Insulation tapes, partitions, insulation
If you're getting into some really big resin crafting, you'll definitely find a range of tools useful. When casting resin, you'll certainly make use of adhesive tapes, dividers and insulation. The first need when casting resin is to keep the resin in a precisely defined space. Quality aluminium adhesive tape can help with this. It is important that the adhesive tape seals well, so that after pouring, for example, a resin table, the resin doesn't leak anywhere. A hot glue gun can also be used to close off the space. It is advisable to use dividers for making a resin geode. These are silicone self-adhesive "tunnels" that we use to define an area into which we want to cast. Important: Why is it necessary to ensure thoroughly that the casting resin does not leak from the sealed area? After pouring, the casting resin forms a certain column - height in the sealed area. After a certain time, a gelling process occurs in the resin and then the resin begins to crystallise. If the resin leaks during this time, the volume decreases and the crystallisation process is disrupted. This deficiency manifests itself on the surface of the cast resin as unevenness, wrinkling and loss of resin clarity (clear resin).
