How to cast in epoxy (cleanly and without bubbles)

1. Prepare the surface: briefly rinse the pieces and dry them completely (moisture causes bubbles).
2. First clear layer: Pour a thin, clear layer and let it slightly gel to prevent the decor from sinking.
3. Placement: Arrange the glass pieces with tweezers/a stick; do not overfill, so that the epoxy covers everything.
4. Encapsulation: Pour a covering clear layer slowly and smoothly to allow air to escape.
5. Finish: After hardening, a thin clear layer can be added for a perfectly smooth "mirror" finish.

Design Tips

• Mother of Pearl + Transparent: Place a pinch of transparent pigment under the glass – it will enhance the depth.
• Geode edge: Arrange a narrow border around the coaster, leaving the centre clear.
• Combination with foils: A few flakes of metallic foil under or between the glass will add a luxurious accent.
