How to cast in epoxy (cleanly and without bubbles)

1. Preparation: briefly rinse the pieces and let them dry completely (moisture = bubbles).
2. First layer: pour a thin, clear layer and let it slightly gel; spread the shards with tweezers.
3. Encapsulation: pour a covering clear layer so that the resin fully surrounds the glass; pour slowly to allow air to escape.
4. Finish: after hardening, you can add a final clear layer for a perfectly smooth surface.

Design Tips

• Mineral rim: arrange a thin edge from the shards, leave the centre clear or lightly tinted.
• Mother-of-pearl under glass: a pinch of mica/nacre under the shards adds depth without losing shine.
• Combination with foils: a few flakes of metallic foil under or between the glass create a luxurious accent.
