ASTAB is a two-component acrylic resin for stabilising wood. ASTAB has a great capacity for absorption and saturation of wood. ASTAB can be coloured with pigments for this acrylic system. To cure the material, the temperature needs to be increased to 90°C. Curing can be done in an electric oven or in hot water. After curing, the wood is very easy to sand and polish with sandpaper designed for sanding resin.
