Product detailed description
TABULA 50-48-660 Casting Epoxy Resin
TABULA 50-48-660 Clear UV++ is a crystal clear epoxy casting resin designed for the production of tabletops, serving boards, and woodworking products. It is ideal for "river" tables, solid boards with resin flow, stumps, and other projects where wood and casting resin are combined.
Thanks to its low viscosity, excellent self-degassing, and long processing time, you can safely cast larger volumes of resin and fill deeper indentations or cracks in wood. After curing, it creates a hard and glossy surface that can be further sanded and polished to a final shine.
Advantages of TABULA resin
- Excellent self-degassing – fewer bubbles in the tabletop,
- glossy surface after curing without the need for additional coatings,
- low viscosity suitable for filling cracks, indentations, and "river" centers,
- extended processing time – ideal for larger projects and precise work.
Uses of TABULA resin
- castings up to 50 mm high (depending on conditions and mold size),
- production of table tops and "river tables" from wood and resin,
- serving boards, wooden plates, boards and blocks with epoxy,
- casting wood, knots, cracks and cavities in solid wood,
- designer carpentry projects and decorative panels.
Properties and Technical Parameters

|---|---|
| Appearance after curing | Clear, glossy after curing |
| Viscosity (A+B) | approx. 660 mPa·s |
| Mixing ratio (by weight) | 100 : 40 (2,5 : 1) |
| Recommended mixing volume at one time | up to approx. 10 l (depending on conditions and mold size) |
| Maximum height of one layer | 1–50 mm |
| Hardness after curing | approx. 80 Shore D |
| Processing time | Approx. 240 minutes |
| Curing time | approx. 48 hours (depending on temperature and layer thickness) |
| Optimum processing temperature | 20–23 °C |
Pigmentation and Colouring
- for transparent coloring use special resins dyes,
- for opaque effect, choose high-quality resins pigments,
- for special effects, you can add glow-in-the-dark powder, metallic effects and glitters,
- you can cast dried flowers, stones, decorative flakes or pieces of wood into the resin,
- For original structures, we recommend alcohol inks.
Brief Instructions for Use
- Wood must be dry, clean, and degreased. Porous parts can be sealed beforehand with a thin "seal coat" of resin.
- Weigh the components in a ratio of 100:40 (by weight) and mix for 2-3 minutes, scraping the sides and bottom of the container.
- Pour continuously into the mold or onto the prepared piece of wood, respecting the maximum layer height of 50 mm and adjusting the volume to the conditions of the specific project.
- Allow to cure at a stable temperature of 20–23 °C, without drafts or sudden temperature changes.
- After curing, you can sand and polish the board to the desired final gloss.
Important warning
- the temperature during mixing and pouring must not drop below 20 °C,
- during curing, it is necessary to ensure stable temperature conditions,
- use precise weight measurements – volume measurements are not suitable,
- a higher ambient temperature during curing reduces the safe maximum height of a single poured layer and can increase the exothermic reaction.
