Product detailed description

The fast-curing EPW 1 epoxy primer for priming wood for epoxy has several functions. First and foremost, it seals the wood, preventing the casting resin from soaking in. If the wood is not primed, the casting resin soaks into the wood, and the air in the porous wood returns as unwanted air bubbles into the casting resin. Another benefit of the primer is that it creates a perfect transitional bonding bridge between the wood and the cured resin. Finally, the primer saturates the primed parts of rotten or otherwise weakened wood, making it a solid material.

Uses of EPW 1
- Wood primer for epoxy
- Saturation and strengthening of rotten wood

Specifications:
Mixing ratio: 250 : 100 (by weight)
Processing time: 15 - 20 min
Curing time: 3 - 4 hours
Working temperature: 20 - 25 °C
Maximum air humidity: 40 - 50 %
Application of the next layer after 4 hours at 20 °C (less at higher temperatures)
Caution: it is necessary to ensure the correct temperature during application and throughout the curing period
Caution: the prepared mixture of both components must not come into contact with water, and the primed wood must be dry

Working procedure:
The substrate must be dry, clean, free of dust and dirt. Mix component A with component B in the given mixing ratio of 250:100 (A:B). The processing time of the penetration coating is approximately 15 - 20 minutes (depending on the ambient temperature and the amount mixed). We recommend preparing EPW 1 penetration in smaller volumes, e.g. 350 g (250 g of component A + 100 g of component B), so that you can process it immediately after 2-3 minutes of mixing. Apply the penetration in 1 - 2 coats, depending on the absorbency of the substrate. The curing time is approximately 3 - 4 hours and is strongly influenced by temperature. Apply EPW 1 penetration with a brush or roller. Wash tools and work equipment with technical alcohol as soon as possible.

Storage:
In a dry and shady place at a temperature of 15 - 20 °C. Under these conditions, the storage period is 12 months.

Attention!
The EPW 1 Primer is a hazardous substance and safety regulations must be followed
