Dosage and mixing
- Start very small: typically 0.1–0.5% of the weight of the mixed resin (A+B).
- For a richer tone, you can go to approximately 1–2% – the resin remains transparent.
- Add the colour drop by drop to the already mixed clear resin and mix slowly (fewer bubbles).
- For larger doses, record the ratios for the same shade in subsequent castings.
Tips for a crystal look
- Pour thinner layers – the shade will appear darker in deeper zones.
- Combine clear zones with tinted ones for greater depth and a spatial effect.
- Avoid overheating with a heat gun; it can change the shade and encourage bubbles.
