Product detailed description
COUNTER TOP 10-24-858 UV++ is a two-component epoxy resin designed to create a protective layer on resin products or furniture surfaces with increased scratch resistance. Certified for toy production.
Advantages:
A key advantage of COUNTER TOP 10-24-858 UV++ epoxy protection is its enhanced scratch resistance. Once cured, it provides a perfectly glossy and smooth surface and is highly stable against UV radiation. It can be used for toy production.
- Maximum protection against UV ++
- Certified for toy production
- Increased scratch resistance
- Very good self-levelling
For purposes:
Using COUNTER TOP 10-24-858 UV++ we create a final thick layer, 0.4 - 0.7mm to create a protective layer on resin or wood products. The thick layer is very suitable for final layers on products that we need to protect against scratches and UV radiation. These can be smaller products such as coasters or various decorations, as well as resin dining tables and bar counters.
Recommended for products:
- UV protective layer on resin products
- Increased scratch protection
- Protective thick layer coating for bar counters
- Protective thick layer coating for resin tables
- Protective thick layer coating for resin furniture
- Protective thick layer coating for resin coasters
- Protective coating for resin decorations
- On resin surfaces, to create a layer with increased scratch resistance
Properties:
- Two-component resin (component A resin / component B hardener)
- UV stable ++ (UV low UV resistance - UV++ high UV resistance), does not yellow
- Ultra clear
- Density after mixing component A+B 858mPa.s (300mPa.s extra thin - 9000mPa.s extra thick)
- Weight mixing ratio 3:1
- Mixed volume of 1 litre at a time
- Maximum cast layer height of 10mm, minimum height of 0.5mm
- Provides high surface hardness after curing, 90 Shore D (56 Shore D medium hard - 90 Shore D very hard)
- Processing time 30 minutes
- curing time 24 hours (depending on ambient temperature and amount of material cast)
- Ideally processed at 22 - 23 °C
- Sanding and polishing finishing
Packaging:
1kg, total of component A+B
Warning:
- When pouring porous materials, it is recommended to first seal the surface of these materials with a primer to prevent bubbles from entering the resin during curing
– the processing temperature (mixing, casting) must not fall below 20°C. Celsius
- Temperature fluctuations must not occur during curing - a negative effect on the cured surface.
- The mixing ratio of component A + B is by weight. To maintain the ratio, we do not recommend volumetric measurement; both components must be weighed!
- For perfect spreading and adhesion of a new layer with Top Glass Heat+ resin, we recommend sanding the resin substrate with 3000 grit sandpaper for resin sanding
- A new final layer on an existing product needs to be created (poured) at a sufficient height, at least 0.5mm, we recommend using a toothed spatula - a "comb".
