How to read the labels
- Grain size (µm) – higher number = coarser particles and more visible structured glitter.
- Solid – full, solid black with minimal reflections.
- Pearl – distinct pearl shimmer, “wet” radiant surface.
- Deep – deep, saturated shades for strong contrast and accent areas.
Dosage and mixing
- Start with a pinch; typically 1–5% of the weight of the mixed resin (A+B). Do not exceed the recommended maximum.
- Mix slowly into the already mixed clear resin to avoid bubbles and ensure the pigment is evenly dispersed.
- For veins and lines, pour from a slightly thickened mixture; for solid areas, pour immediately after mixing.
Where black shades stand out
- Jewellery – dramatic, elegant contrasts (anthracite, graphite, deep black).
- Tabletops & coasters – marble veining, luxurious accents, combinations with metallic lines.
- Paintings/GEODE ART – layering Solid + Pearl for depth and lighting effects.
Warning: Metallic powders make the mixture opaque and can shorten the pot life. Have your workflow ready, do not exceed the dosage and always do a small test on a sample.
