How to read powder markings
- Grain size (µm) – the higher the number, the coarser the particles and the more visible the "sparkle" structure.
- Pearl – distinct pearlescent sheen, dynamic lighting effects.
- Solid – full colour with minimal reflections, uniform opaque appearance.
- Deep – saturated, deep shades of red (suitable for accent areas and veins).
Dosage and mixing
- Typically recommended 1–5 % of the weight of the mixed resin (A+B). Start with a pinch and add gradually.
- Mix slowly into the already mixed clear resin – fewer bubbles, even dispersion.
- For lines and veins, pour from a slightly thickened mixture; for surfaces, pour immediately after mixing.
Where red shades stand out
- Jewellery and pendants – dramatic accents and a luxurious look.
- Coasters, table tops – contrasting veins and surfaces with a metallic sheen.
- Paintings/GEODE ART – layering Deep + Pearl for depth and light reflections.
Warning: Metallic powders make the resin opaque and can shorten the pot life. Have your workflow ready, do not exceed the recommended dosage and always do a small test.
