Metallic powders purple shades

Metallic Powders – Purple Shades

Purple-toned metallic (pearlescent) powders for casting resin create rich, opaque “metallic” surfaces and striking reflections. Great for jewellery, tabletops, paintings and decorations. Available in basic and effect variants – Solid (full colour), Pearl (distinct reflection), Deep (deep tones) and various grain sizes (µm). Metallic powders make the resin opaque.

How to read the labels

  • Grain Size (µm) – higher number = coarser particles and more pronounced structured glitter.
  • Pearlstrong pearlescent reflection, dynamic light reflections.
  • Solidfull, uniform colour with minimal reflections.
  • Deepdeep, saturated purple shades for accent areas and veins.

Dosage and mixing

  • Typically 1–5% of the weight of the mixed resin (A+B). Start with a pinch, add gradually.
  • Mix slowly into the already mixed clear resin – fewer bubbles, even dispersion.
  • For veins and lines, pour from a slightly thickened mixture; for solid areas, pour immediately after mixing.

Where purple stands out

  • Jewellery and pendants – royally elegant accents from lavender to amethyst.
  • Coasters, table tops – contrasting veins and luxurious metallic surfaces.
  • Paintings/GEODE ART – layering Pearl + Deep for depth and light effects.
Warning: Metallic powders make the mixture opaque and can shorten the pot life. Do not exceed the recommended dosage and always do a small test on a sample.
