Coloring the edge of the trays

We are very familiar with silicone moulds for casting resin in the shape of resin coasters. After removing the hardened coaster from the resin mould, we need to grind off the sharp edge on the top side. After sanding the edges of the resin coasters, the next step is to colour them. We can choose different colours, most often gold, silver, black or white. For this purpose, we can choose between different methods. A metallic pen is more precise and perhaps more suitable for smaller coasters. Acrylic paint with added pearlescent is another method; we apply the acrylic paint with a brush. Or we can prepare our own resin mixture, for example SPEED 10-12, and saturate it with metallic powder and use it to paint the edge. A perfect result is achieved with resin saturated with metallic powders.
