Resin primer
For the correct result when casting epoxy resin in combination with wood and other absorbent materials (concrete, ceramics), it is necessary to use resin primer PEN 05. The primer designed for epoxy resins hardens quickly and seals porous materials to prevent the release of air bubbles. Bubbles in the resin are an undesirable effect when casting resin. The primer prevents the release of bubbles from wood or other porous materials that trap air and release it into the casting resin during the curing process. Resin primer should always be used when casting resin into porous materials. Every resin casting project involving wood requires a primer coat. In products where we combine wood and resin, a primer is essential, especially for large projects such as resin tables and resin furniture. Resin and wood benefit from priming in another way - the primer creates a perfect transition bridge. The bond between wood and resin will be stronger. The wood primer PEN 05 for resin on wood can also be used to "rescue" rotten wood in our project. The primer saturates and permeates weakened wood. The result is strengthened, hardened wood that we can then cast with resin.
