Liquid pigments

Liquid Pigments for Resin

Liquid pigments are the most popular choice for rich, full colouring of epoxy casting resin. They are dosed in drops, mix well with each other and are suitable for jewellery, decorations, coasters, paintings and resin furniture. The result is a uniform "solid colour" with high opacity.

Features and uses

  • Full coverage – creates opaque, saturated shades (“solid colour”).
  • Easy mixing – colours can be combined into custom shades.
  • Suitable for jewellery, decorations, coasters, paintings and larger furniture projects.

Dosage and mixing

  • Start with 1–3% of the weight of the mixed resin (A+B); increase to 5% as needed.
  • The general maximum is 10% – a higher dose may affect curing and material properties.
  • Add pigment drop by drop to the already mixed clear resin and mix slowly (fewer bubbles).

Tips for a perfect result

  • For an even appearance, pour thinner layers and possibly layer them after partial curing.
  • Combine opaque zones with clear ones for greater depth and contrast.
  • Before the final project, make a small test cast to verify the shade and curing time.
Warning: Excessive amounts of pigment can prolong or disrupt curing and increase viscosity. Dose gradually and check the colour saturation.
