Pearlescent powders
Pearl powder is made from mica, which is steamed with various metals and then ground into finer powders. It contains particles that change colour with the angle of light. If you look at a product made of pearlescent powder and move it, it will change colour. Pearlescent powders are used for filling casting resin. Colour pigment - pearlescent powder for resin - is used in the creation of paintings, resin jewellery or resin decorations. Metallic pearlescent powder is also known as pearlescent for resin, and the resulting effect is a shimmering resin with a pearlescent effect. The AB effect occurs when light hits it. There is a shift and breakdown of colours, and the effect changes depending on how the light falls. Pearlescent powder can be used in a variety of ways. Full colouration - add a maximum of 5% of the resin's weight to the casting resin and mix in the resin. Or, wipe a silicone mould with pearlescent powder and then cast it with resin (preferably black coloured). The pearlescent effect is then only on the surface of the resin product. Pearl powder in resin makes the casting resin opaque.
