DEKORA Casting Epoxy Resin 50-48-660

DEKORA is a clear epoxy resin designed for creating larger decorations such as cubes, cuboids, orgonites, and other decorative items using silicone moulds or custom-made moulds. It is ideal for casting into silicone moulds or for separate grinding and polishing, for example, in combination with wood.

Properties and Technical Parameters

• Two-component epoxy (component A: resin / component B: hardener)
• Clear, glossy after curing
• Density after mixing A+B: 650 mPa·s
• Mixing ratio: 100 : 40 (2.5 : 1) by weight
• Recommended volume of mixture at one time: 0.5 litre
• Maximum height of one layer: 1–20 mm
• Hardness after curing: 80 Shore D
• Working time: approx. 240 minutes
• Curing time: approx. 48-72 hours (depending on temperature and layer thickness)
• Optimum processing temperature: 20–23 °C

Pigmentation and Colouring

• For transparent colouring, use resin dyes
• For an opaque effect, use resin pigments
• You can add glow powder, metallic effects, glitter, dried flowers and decorative flakes
• For original effects, we recommend alcohol inks

Important warning

• The temperature during mixing and casting must not fall below 20 °C
• During curing, it is necessary to ensure stable temperature conditions
• Use precise weight measurement – volumetric measurement is not suitable!
• A higher ambient temperature during resin curing reduces the safe maximum height of a single cast layer

The mixture is classified as a hazardous substance according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
