Product detailed description
Pouring Epoxy Resin SPEED 10-12-600 UV+ – Fast Projects, High Hardness
Pouring Epoxy Resin SPEED 10-12-600 UV+ is a fast-curing two-component resin with a shortened curing time. Thanks to its low viscosity, it flows excellently into details, degasses very well, and creates a perfectly glossy and very hard surface after curing. It has basic UV protection, so clear and thicker castings may show slight yellowing over time – it is therefore ideal to use it coloured.
Advantages of SPEED resin
- Very good self-degassing – minimum bubbles
- Perfectly glossy surface after pouring and curing
- Very high hardness – approx. 88 Shore D
- Low viscosity – flows well into molds and cavities
- Fast curing – finished product in a matter of hours
What is SPEED resin suitable for
- Casting resin height: up to 10 mm
- Jewelry and small decorations: keychains (letters, numbers and other shapes), lockets, pendants
- Practical products: coasters, tiered stands, trays, decorative surfaces of resin-coated cutting boards
- Especially suitable for colored products (paint, pigment, metallic effects)
Recommended moulds
- Silicone molds for tiered stands and wine holders
- Silicone molds for trays and coasters
- Silicone mold for keychains (various shapes, small letters and numbers)
- Silicone molds for bookmarks and jewelry molds
- Bases and frames for resin jewelry
Properties and Technical Parameters
| Type | Two-component epoxy resin (component A – resin / component B – hardener) |
| UV stability | UV+ (basic UV protection – may yellow slightly over time in clear and thicker castings) |
| Appearance | Clear, transparent, slightly yellowish in larger volumes (component B is naturally slightly yellowish) |
| Viscosity after mixing A+B | 600 mPa·s (approximate scale: 300 mPa·s = extra thin → 9000 mPa·s = extra thick) |
| Mixing ratio (by weight) | 5 : 3 (A : B) |
| Mixed volume at once | max. 0.5 L |
| Maximum layer height | 10 mm |
| Hardness after curing | approx. 88 Shore D |
| Processing time | approx. 20 minutes |
| Curing time | approx. 6–12 hours (depending on ambient temperature and amount of cast material) |
| Processing temperature | ideally 22–23 °C (do not drop below 20 °C) |
Pigmentation and Colouring
For transparent tinting, use resin dyes. For opaque coloring, resins for resin are suitable. You can also add glowing powder, metallic powder, glitter, dried flowers, and decorative flakes to the resin, or use alcohol inks for special effects.
Due to only basic UV protection (UV+), we recommend using SPEED resin mainly for coloured or pigmented castings, where any subsequent yellowing will not be visible.
Usage notes
- When casting porous materials (wood, paper, etc.), first seal the surface with a primer to prevent bubbles from forming during curing.
- Processing temperature (mixing and casting) must not drop below 20 °C.
- During curing, prevent temperature fluctuations – they can negatively affect the surface of the casting.
- The mixing ratio is by weight. Always weigh both components – we do not recommend volumetric measurement.
