ELASTIC 3-18-200 UV++ doming resin is a special epoxy resin designed for thin, domed layers with a 3D effect. After curing, it remains flexible and elastic, making it suitable for applications where regular "hard" resin cracks easily – for example, on stickers, badges, magnets, or bookmarks.

What is ELASTIC doming resin suitable for

Thanks to its low recommended casting height and elasticity, this resin is ideal for:

• products up to a cast layer height of approx. 3 mm,
• badges with doming and 3D effect,
• buttons/pins with a convex, glossy surface,
• stickers and magnets with a 3D effect,
• thin bookmarks and similar flat products.

The surface remains flexible after curing, which is the main difference compared to classic "hard" doming resins. This allows it to better withstand bending and everyday use.

Advantages of ELASTIC 3-18-200 UV++

• flexible, elastic resin – does not break after curing, but springs back,
• low / medium viscosity – spreads well and creates a smooth surface,
• clear and transparent – preserves the graphics and colors of the substrate,
• UV++ maximum protection – higher resistance to UV radiation,
• self-leveling – the surface levels into a smooth, domed layer.

Properties and parameters of the resin

• type: clear, transparent epoxy resin for doming,
• consistency: medium viscosity, approx. 200 mPa·s (for comparison: 300 mPa·s = extra low viscosity, 9000 mPa·s = extra high viscosity),
• composition: two-component resin – component A (resin), component B (hardener),
• hardness after curing: approx. 60 Shore A – elastic, flexible,
• final hardness: approx. 70 Shore A after complete curing,
• weight mixing ratio: 1 : 1,
• UV stability: UV++ maximum protection,
• self-leveling behavior – it spreads itself into a smooth surface,
• workability at 23 °C: approx. 45 minutes,
• volume mixed at once: up to 1 liter – however, it is necessary to process it in the shortest possible time,
• Curing time: 18–24 hours (depending on ambient temperature and amount of material being cast).

Pigmentation and Colouring

• for transparent coloring use appropriate resin dyes,
• Always make sure that the amount of pigment or paint added does not exceed the manufacturer's recommended proportion - too much paint can affect curing and the resulting flexibility.

The stated weight is the sum of component A + component B.

Notes and recommended processing conditions

• processing temperature (mixing, pouring) must not drop below 20 °C,
• during curing, avoid temperature fluctuations – they can negatively affect the final surface and properties,
• mixing ratio of components A + B is by weight – we do not recommend volumetric measurement, both components must be weighed precisely.
