Product detailed description
TABULA BASIC 50-72-600 UV+ wood resin is a thin epoxy resin designed for making resin tables and casting wood with resin.
Advantages of TABULA BASIC resin
- Clear epoxy resin with UV+ (basic UV protection)
- Very good self-venting – fewer bubbles in the casting
- Perfectly glossy surface after pouring and curing
- Low viscosity – pours well into molds and around wood
- Long processing time – comfortable work even on larger tables
Suitable for which products
- Products up to casting height: up to 50 mm
- Resin tables – 'river' tables, small tables, tops
- Resin lamps in combination with wood
- Clocks with wood and resin
- Other decorations and carpentry products in combination wood + resin
Recommended moulds
- Silicone Moulds for Large Decorations
- Silicone molds for tables (large round and square molds)
Properties and Technical Parameters
| Type | Two-component epoxy resin (component A – resin / component B – hardener) |
| UV stability | UV+ – basic resistance to yellowing (yellowing may occur over time in clear solid castings) |
| Appearance | Clear, glossy after curing |
| Viscosity after mixing A+B | 600 mPa·s (300 mPa·s = extra thin → 9000 mPa·s = extra thick) |
| Mixing ratio (by weight) | 3.2 : 1 (A : B) |
| Mixed volume at once | up to 10 liters |
| Maximum casting layer height | 50 mm |
| Hardness after curing | approx. 85 Shore D (56 Shore D = medium hard, 90 Shore D = very hard) |
| Processing time | approx. 120 minutes |
| Curing time | approx. 48–72 hours (depending on ambient temperature and amount of cast material) |
| Processing temperature | ideally 22–23 °C (do not drop below 20 °C) |
Pigmentation and Colouring
For transparent tinting, use resin dyes. For opaque coloring, resins for resin are suitable. Basic UV protection makes sense especially for colored and pigmented tables, where any later yellowing of the clear mass will not be as noticeable.
Packaging variant
1 kg pack A+B = 1 kg
5 kg pack A+B = 5 kg
Recommendations for work
You can use the long processing time for self-venting of the resin. After weighing and thoroughly mixing both components, let the resin stand for approximately 60 minutes. Air bubbles introduced during mixing will rise to the surface and escape on their own.
Warning
- When casting porous materials (especially wood), it is recommended to seal the surface with a primer first to prevent bubbles from releasing into the resin during curing.
- The processing temperature (mixing, casting) must not fall below 20 °C.
- During curing, there must be no temperature fluctuations – they negatively affect the appearance and quality of the surface.
- The mixing ratio of component A + B is by weight. To ensure the correct ratio, we do not recommend volumetric measurement – both components must be weighed precisely.

List of ratings
S touto pryskyřici již pracuji poněkolikáté a je s ni velmi dobrá práce. Po vylití krásně lesklá, jen je potřeba chránit před prachem, dokud nezaschne. Pak je jako sklo.
