What you can create with the mould
A stylish ashtray – clear, marbled or with glitter, mother-of-pearl or natural inserts. Also suitable as a universal catch-all dish for keys and small items. Also suitable as a universal catch-all dish for keys and small items.

How to cast cleanly and without bubbles
- Preparation: rinse the mould with lukewarm water and mild soap; dry with a lint-free cloth.
- Mixing: prepare the resin according to the instructions; mix slowly and thoroughly, scraping the sides of the cup.
- Pouring: pour in a thin stream along the side of the mould; for thicker layers, pour in layers.
- Curing & Finishing: adhere to the recommended times/temperature; after removal, the edges can be lightly chamfered and optionally polished.
Safe use
- Epoxy resin is not intended for contact with open flames or hot embers.
- For a functional ashtray, we recommend a metal or glass insert / dish, or a layer of fine sand to extinguish hot residue.
- Do not expose the product to high temperatures; protect the surface from scratches.
Design Tips
- Marbling: gently drag 2–3 colours with a skewer for a fine veining effect.
- Mother of Pearl & Glitters: a pinch is enough – a square area will highlight the depth of the effects.
- Negative Space: leave part of the casting clear to enhance the refraction of light.
Mould maintenance
- Cleaning: lukewarm water + mild soap; do not use abrasives or sharp tools.
- Solvents: no aggressive cleaners; use isopropanol only exceptionally and wipe quickly.
- Storage: Flat, away from sunlight and without compression – for long mould life.
