Wood stabilization
Home wood stabilisation is suitable for smaller pieces of wood, slats, small blocks and the like. These are further used for knife handles, jewellery or fountain pens. We saturate the stabilised wood with resin - ASTAB in combination with negative and positive pressure. A vacuum chamber for wood stabilisation is used for this purpose. In the chamber, the wood is saturated with resin - impregnating the wood with resin, and its weight increases. The saturated wood is resistant to moisture and is harder. Practically any type of wood can be used for wood stabilisation, even wood affected by rot. Epoxy wood stabilisation requires some experience, and above all, a wood stabilisation vacuum chamber is essential.
