Moss Mix
Code: 30625

Product detailed description
What you'll find in the set and why it works
The combination of three textures allows you to create natural depths and transitions:
- Bun (hummock) moss – plastic “hills” for 3D accents.
- Reindeer lichen – a delicate, branched structure with a rich colour.
- Flat moss – a uniform base and “background” for the composition.
In one package, you have everything you need to create a harmonious scene – from the base to the dominant details.
Tips for working with the mix
- Plan your composition “dry” – first lay the flat moss, then the lichen, and finally the cushions for 3D peaks.
- Think about contrast – alternating textures and shades adds dynamism to the image, and everything stands out beautifully next to the epoxy parts.
- Take your time – the mix is easy to assemble, but the best results come from carefully fine-tuning the spacing and transitions.
Care and placement
- No watering or spraying – stabilisation maintains softness and colour.
- Interior – away from direct bright sunlight and sources of radiant heat.
- Cleaning – gently blow off dust or remove with a soft brush.
Appearance and natural variability
These are 100% natural materials. The shape, size, and colour saturation may vary slightly, which is desirable – the decor then looks authentic. The weights in the set are approximate (~100 g + ~100 g + 2 clumps; total approx. 250 g).
Placement and limits
The mosses are intended exclusively for indoor use. In resin projects, they are usually not embedded in epoxy to keep them soft and pliable; they serve as a natural element alongside epoxy parts.
Origin and careful harvesting
The mosses come from European/Nordic regions, and harvesting is carried out with respect for the environment. They are stabilised and coloured for decorative use.
FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
What projects is the mix ideal for?
For moss art, clocks, logos and panels – especially if you want to try different textures in one decor and have natural 3D transitions.
How do bun moss, lichen and flat moss differ?
Bun moss forms plastic 'humps' for 3D accents, lichen has a fine branched structure with a rich colour, and flat moss serves as a uniform base.
Can I coat the mosses with epoxy resin?
We do not recommend it. Coating would remove the softness, 3D structure and natural appearance. Use moss as an unpotted natural accent next to the resin.
Colours and shades – are they always the same?
Not entirely. These are natural materials, so there may be slight variations in saturation and structure. That's what makes the result natural and 'alive'.
How to store leftover moss correctly?
Store in a dry place, out of the sun, in a resealable bag or box. Do not compress - this will preserve the shape and flexibility of the material.
