How to Choose the Right Jewellery Making Kit

  1. Type of jewellery: earrings (studs / hooks), rings (according to the diameter of the setting), medallions and pendants.
  2. Shapes and sizes: cabochons (8–18 mm), drops, hearts, circles or ovals – consider what suits your design.
  3. Metal colour: silver, gold, antique bronze – match with the chain or components you already have.
  4. Number of components: how many pairs of earrings or pendants do you want to create, and does the kit include spare parts.
  5. Extra Tools: pipettes for pigments, measuring cups with markings, non-stick mat, gloves – for easier, cleaner work.

What the set usually contains

The package usually includes a combination of silicone moulds, jewellery making components (beds, hooks, rings, chains), and practical tools for mixing and precise dosing. Some sets also add mini pigments / glitters for initial effects.

Quick guide for the first pendant: Prepare the mould and components → measure and mix the resin → pour a thin base layer → insert the decoration (glitter, mini flowers) → fill to the top → after hardening, clean the edges and attach the ring/chain.

Tips for a nice result

  • Work slowly and in thin layers – you'll reduce bubbles and improve clarity.
  • For metal beds, light degreasing before pouring helps for better adhesion.
  • For sensitive skin, prefer components made of surgical steel or jewellery alloys designed for contact with skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the sets be used with different resins? Yes, the tools and moulds are universal. Follow the parameters and instructions of the resin you are using.
How to prevent bubbles? Mix gently, pour from a height in a thin stream and let the mixture 'rest' for a while. Pierce small bubbles with a skewer.
I've run out of components – what next? Everything can be purchased separately (hooks, rings, beds, chains and moulds) and you can easily replenish the set.

Note: The specific content and number of parts vary depending on the set – always follow the description of the selected variant.
