Product detailed description
What it's good for
Brushes are ideal for precise work on epoxy projects – from fine lines and veins in marbling to “gilding” with metal foils, to cleaning up moulds before casting (dust removal) and levelling edges with a thin clear coat.
Which size to choose
00000 – 00 | Ultra fine details, micro lines, edge repairs, work on mini jewellery. |
0 – 2 | Veins in marbling, thin lines of pearlescent, precise applied decoration. |
3 – 5 | Smaller areas, blending effects, applying a clear 'final layer' around the edges. |
6 – 7 | Larger areas, undertones and backgrounds, quick coverage. |
Tips for clean epoxy work
- Before casting, gently 'sweep' dust from the mould with a dry brush.
- Gilding & foils: apply a clear coat with a brush only where you want the foil to adhere; then seal with a clear coat.
- Marble veins: use a transparent/pearl pigment and pull the lightest strokes possible.
Maintenance and lifespan
- After work, wipe off any residue with a clean paper towel. Fresh epoxy residue can be briefly loosened with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol (wipe off quickly and allow to dry).
- Wash with lukewarm water and mild soap, shape the tip and allow to dry bristle up.
- Do not allow hardened epoxy to set in the brush; this will extend its life.
