How to polish resin? Polishing epoxy resin is preceded by thorough sanding of the resin. The polished surface will show us how well we sanded. We always use sandpaper for sanding resin, not another type. And we sand in gradual steps from the coarsest grit to the finest, up to a grit of 3000. Sanding and polishing go hand in hand in progressive steps. Polishing resin uses a one-step polishing paste, EpoxFinal 3000. EpoxFinal 3000 epoxy polishing paste brings the surface to a perfect shine. For machine polishing, an epoxy polisher with a foam pad with a closed structure or special tools such as car paint polishers can be used. For smaller items, a hand sander fitted with a polishing disc is used. EpoxFinal 3000 resin polishing paste must remain moist at all times; water can be added to the foam pad during polishing.
