Drying flowers
Flowers in resin are a common theme for creating resin decorations. Flowers in resin require special preparation of flowers and plants that we want to cast in resin. Dried flowers for resin are prepared using silica gel, which absorbs moisture and thus perfectly dries the flower. Flowers dried in this way retain more natural colours and shapes. How to cast a flower in resin? There are many ways. For those who are starting out, we recommend using silicone moulds for casting resin. Smaller silicone moulds for rings, bracelets or pendants can be used to arrange dried flowers in resin, and then they are usually filled with clear, uncoloured resin. Alternatively, you can reach for a larger mould in the shape of a cube, sphere or larger cuboid. Dried flowers stand out very well in these larger decorations. Pouring live flowers into resin is possible after immersing them in melted wax. We haven't tried this technique.
