Resin filler

In our resin casting, epoxy filler serves as an additive, which we use to create a mixture for casting and making resin coasters, various jars and bowls. For the casting itself, we use silicone resin moulds, just like with casting resin. Resin filler in the form of marble flour is a very finely ground loose material that can be added to the casting resin up to 40% of its weight. That's 0.4kg per 1kg of casting resin. The resulting mixture of casting resin and marble flour is quite thick and light whitish. We use resin colours or resin pigments to colour it. For example, with a small addition of transparent colour, we imitate natural stones such as Agate or Malachite. With a rich and full colouration, we approach the appearance of fired clay. The play of colours and the addition of other decorative materials is endless. In addition to the specific look that we achieve by using marble flour on our resin products, we have another benefit of the filler, which is reducing the price of the resin product. You can find out how to work with bubbles and how to prepare the mixture of casting resin and marble flour in our blog.
