Water-thinnable resin primer for sealing absorbent surfaces for PouArt casting resins
Primer for casting resins is used to seal the surface of absorbent porous materials, especially wood.

1. Prevents air bubbles from escaping into the casting resins, 2. saturates and strengthens the wood, and 3. creates a transitional bridge for better cohesion between the absorbent surface and the casting resin.

Processing:
The substrate must be dry, clean, free of dust and dirt. Mix component A with component B in a weight
mixing ratio of 100:26. Subsequently, mix this mixture with water in a weight mixing ratio of 100:50. This will create a penetrating coating. Leave the thinned coating to stand for about 15 minutes, and only then
apply it.

The processing time of the penetrating coating is approximately 30 - 60 minutes (depending on the ambient temperature and
mixed quantity). The penetrating coating has the form of a milky dispersion after mixing, which after application
clears up within 30 minutes and soaks into the substrate. Apply the penetration in 1 - 2 coats, depending on the absorbency of the substrate.

Apply the penetrating coating with a brush, brushes or rollers. Clean tools and work equipment immediately after
use with water. The material is not intended for surface treatment of toys and surfaces that come into
direct contact with food.

Recommendation:
Every absorbent material (wood) retains air. When pouring porous material with resin, air is released in the form of air bubbles into the resin. This can be prevented by using PA-PEN-500 penetration for PourArt Casting Resin. Furthermore, PA-ODP-100 Defoamer promotes the release of residual air in the form of bubbles.
